Can you romance multiple people in Dragon Age the Veilguard?

Romance in Dragon Age The Veilguard is a fascinating aspect that lets your party of misfits grow. Moreover, your character's bond with them is deepened throughout the ups and downs, making the adventure incredibly rewarding. As these bonds become stronger and stronger, it’s only natural that some of them may turn out to be a little romantic.

Many popular RPGs in recent years, such as Baldur’s Gate 3, allow players to have multiple romantic relationships in the same playthrough. This may lead many to wonder: is it the same in Dragon Age The Veilguard as well?

Unfortunately, the answer is no — you can’t romance multiple characters in Dragon Age The Veilguard. However, this doesn’t mean flirting is off the table. While you can’t have a serious relationship with multiple characters until you commit, you are free to flirt with all of them.

While there is no way to have a committed relationship with more than one character in Dragon Age The Veilguard, you can flirt with all the characters in the game until you choose one to commit to. Each character has a selection of personal quests that you can complete to strengthen your bond with them.

Every time you complete these quests, in addition to raising your bond with the character, you will also be presented with dialogue options that can lead to romantic outcomes. For example, during the quest A Friend in Need, if you choose the dialogue option: “I want to be with you,” the game will lock in your romance with Davrin the Grey Warden.

This is why, before committing, it’s wise to explore your options. Talk with all the characters in the game, even the party members who join you later, like Taash and Emmerich. Only when you are absolutely certain you want to have a romantic relationship with a character should you proceed with their personal quests to deepen your bond.
