Delta Force Hawk Ops is an upcoming FPS shooter by Team Jade and TiMi Studios. Currently, fans can play the title for free on their PCs under the Steam Next Fest Event where the developers have released a free demo of the title accessible to fans until October 21, 2024. That said, even the Alpha Test was not available on consoles and was limited to the PC. This has made many people question the developers' intentions with the game's release on different platforms.
The Alpha Test for the game happened in July 2024. Ahead of the release of that particular testing stage, a section from the official Delta Force FAQs read as follows:
"Keyboard & mouse input will be supported for the playtest, with controller support planned for the future."
A similar situation continues as of right now. The free demo under the Steam Next Fest Event was released after an announcement listing the following details:
- Access Time: October 14th UTC+0 8:00 (Pre-download now available)-October 22nd UTC+0 3:00.
- Access Type: PC via Steam, open playtest with progress wipe.
- Server: Added Asia and South America in addition to North America and Europe.
Pay attention to how the "Access Type" section only lists PC as the available platform.
The developers have also promised an Early Access release for Delta Force, which will last for a few months. This upcoming stage will see players enjoy a more polished version of the FPS title.
Yet again, Team Jade has not confirmed controller support for the Early Access stage. However, since it has been planned for the future as per their earlier statement, Delta Force Hawk Ops will likely support controllers after its full release.
