EA Cricket is widely recognized as a series of cricket video games that were published by EA Sports. The series was designed for Microsoft Windows and later for PlayStation 2 platforms. Since then, eight games of this series have been released, with EA Cricket 2007 being the last edition of the game.
With a decade of EA Cricket 07 gone by today, the game still remains in the memories of its fans, known for its realistic game play and graphics that were considered to be highly advanced for the time.

EA Cricket slowly faded out over time
It is said that one of the major reasons that shelved the cricket series was the sport did not have much of a global reach as compared to football. EA Cricket found its popularity only in Australia, England and New Zealand, with a majority of its market bieng in South Asia. However, piracy led to a huge loss which later led to EA discontinuing the series.
