EA FC 25 Ultimate Team: Can you get relegated in Rivals?

It’s unlikely that one player will get relegated in the EA FC 25 Division Rivals. However, unlike the other iterations, once players reach Division 2 or 1, they can be relegated if they lose their first match upon reaching that division. Upon facing relegation, players will be placed at the end of the former division. Moreover, based on the pitch notes, EA Sports has reduced the number of checkpoints to make the mode extra competitive.

Keeping that in mind, this article will discuss the newly implemented relegation system in EA FC 25 alongside the weekly rewards one can get once reaching that Division.

EA FC 25 Ultimate Team: Division Rivals relegation system

As mentioned earlier, EA FC 25 players will not face any relegation till Division 3. However, if they lose the opening match right after reaching Division 2 or 1, they’ll face relegation and must begin their journey from the end of the former Division.

Since EA hasn’t added any checkpoints in Divisions 1 and 2, they might struggle to reach the Elite Division. However, once they reach the Elite, they’ll remain there for the rest of the season.

To sum it up, if a player loses a Division Rivals match just after getting promoted to Division 2, they’ll relegated to the end of Division 3 and have to win another match to get promoted to the second Division again.

Meanwhile, anyone who just got promoted to Division 1 and loses their first match, will eventually get relegated to the end of Division 2. However, that’s not the case for other Divisions, as once they reach Division 10-3, and Elite, they’ll hit the checkpoint and remain there even if they lose their Rivals match.

EA FC 25 Ultimate Team: Veteran Player Placements

Now that players have an initial idea of the new relegation system, let’s discuss the legacy placement system for veteran players. These conditions apply to EA FC 24 players who already reached certain peak Divisions, post-completion of the concluding season.

Those who’ve reached Division 10 to 9 (EA FC 24) at their peak will receive Division 10 in EA FC 25. Meanwhile, Division 8 to 6 players will get placed in Division 9. Division 5 to Division 3 peak players will acquire Division 8 in the EA FC 25 Ultimate Team. Lastly, those who’ve reached the rest of the Divisions (Div 2 to Elite) at their peak, will be placed in Division 7.

EA Sports is trying to increase the skill flooring as a part of their new system. As a result, the online players must keep playing their regular Division Rivals games to maintain their standard and placement in the Division cycle.
