With a career spanning over two decades, Buffon’s inclusion as a new Icon further solidifies his legacy in the digital world of football. His base card in FC Mobile 25 will likely be rated at an impressive 91 OVR, offering players a chance to add one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time to their squads.

This is not the first time Buffon has been featured in an EA Sports game. His last appearance was in FIFA Mobile 23 and FIFA 23, where he had a regular card with a 77 OVR while playing for Parma.

However, Buffon's return as an Icon in both the EA FC 25 and FC 25 Mobile marks a significant upgrade, reflecting his storied career and legendary status in the sport.

Players will now be able to enjoy his world-class goalkeeping abilities in the virtual realm, making him a sought-after addition to any squad.

Gareth Bale and Lilian Thuram could also feature as FC Mobile 25 Icons

Buffon is not the only big name reportedly joining the Icon roster for FC Mobile 2025. Alongside him, Welsh winger Gareth Bale and French defender Lilian Thuram could also be added as new Icons, both with base card ratings of 88 OVR.

Bale, known for his pace, power, and incredible moments with Real Madrid, and Thuram, a World Cup-winning defender with France, add even more variety and star power to the Icon selection for the upcoming season.

With Buffon, Bale, and Thuram entering the FC Mobile 25 Icons' roster, the game promises to offer a rich and diverse selection of legends for players to choose from.

Buffon’s return, in particular, is sure to be a highlight, as fans of the legendary goalkeeper will now have the opportunity to relive his career through the game.

As of now, there is no official information on FC Mobile 25's update date, but fans can expect it by the end of September 2024. However, EA Sports has already confirmed that there will be no season reset for FC Mobile in 2024.
