FIFA Mobile: Neymar overtakes Messi and Ronaldo in latest overall ratings
What’s the story?
The curious case of FIFA Mobile and the confusing rating system continues to obscure the fans across the globe. The current leader board shows that Neymar Jr., who recently joined PSG after leaving Barcelona, is ahead of both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The Brazilian striker has clocked an attacker rating of 98, but his overall latest rating is 100.
Both Messi and Ronaldo are legends of the game and now no one can match up with them if we go by their actual stats. The PSG left-winger is surely the next big thing after the Argentine and the Portuguese in the current era of football but he has to prove himself a lot more to surpass them in real life.
In case you didn’t know...
FIFA Mobile continues to amass high numbers and the game is hugely popular worldwide. Neymar is a crucial player for PSG this season after he signed for a world record fee. He was also instrumental in Barca’s success in last few seasons along with Messi and Suarez.
The heart of the matter
Messi’s total stats score is 1947 and Ronaldo’s total score is a whopping 2009 whereas Neymar stands at 1967. However, the PSG star trumps both Ronaldo and Messi in the overall ratings. The Brazilian has an overall rating of 100, higher than both Messi and Ronaldo, who are rated 99 in FIFA Mobile.
What’s next?
While FIFA Mobile ratings never cease to amaze us, fans of the console version of EA Sports FIFA have less than a month to wait before FIFA 18 hits the stores. FIFA Mobile will also enjoy an upgrade after the launch of FIFA 18 on 29th September.
Author’s take
Neymar’s rise in the player rankings in FIFA Mobile is surely exciting for his fans but he needs to prove himself at his new club. The numbers on FIFA Mobile may be way off from the situation in reality but it does tend to give some insight on what we can expect from Neymar in the ongoing season. The reputation is there, the rewards may be on the way too.
