These players would have a dip in their ratings

The Premier League is a ruthless league. I mean, sure there are great moments involving players and teams who distinguish themselves from the rest.

But, on the other hand, those who do not enjoy similar levels of success are often berated, humiliated, and abused by the fans.

And yet again, some players have managed to make themselves stand out, although due to the wrong reasons.

The performances of these players are often reflected when their FIFA ratings are revealed. And so, we look at five Premier League players who will be rated lower in FIFA 19 as compared to the previous edition.

#5 Gary Cahill

Chelsea v Arsenal - The FA Community Shield
Cahill was unable to repeat his heroics from last season this time out

Antonio Conte didn't enjoy the same success which he was able to the first time around. The Italian mastermind revolutionised the Premier League in the 2016/17 season when he decided to go with the 3-4-3 formation.

Chelsea's newly structured juggernaut dismantled teams left, right, and centre on their way to the title.

Gary Cahill was one of the cogs of Conte's Chelsea machine, establishing his dominance in the left side of the back three and even keeping John Terry out of the team.

However, last season is now a distant memory for many Chelsea fans with the blues in turmoil and Conte on the brink of the sack.

Cahill has also not been able to repeat his heroics from the last season. Cahill's form has been so inconsistent that he has constantly found himself behind Andreas Christensen in the pecking order.

Cahill's overall of 84 in FIFA 18 certainly doesn't do justice to how the player has fared this season. I believe with the release of the new edition of FIFA, Cahill's ratings will go down.
