Fortnite FNCS 2025: Everything you need to know

The Fortnite FNCS 2025 is about to start soon and Epic Games has finally revealed all information regarding the tournament. This season will feature a larger prize pool and focus on trios instead of duos. Considering the success of the previous FNCS seasons, we will likely see record-breaking viewership and massive event venues again.

On that note, here's everything about the Fortnite FNCS 2025.


Fortnite FNCS 2025: Format, start date, Global Championship, and rewards

Epic Games is bringing an improved format, centered around a divisional structure. Each Major will feature multiple stages: Play-In, Group Stage, Last Chance Qualifier, and Major Finals. Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 will begin with the FNCS Trial on December 7, 2024, where players will be placed into Division 1, 2, or 3 based on their performance.

Players can climb divisions and earn more prizes throughout the season by performing better in weekly matches. Only Division 1 players can qualify for the Play-In Stage, and eventually, the Major Finals. Similar to last year, there will be three Major Finals.


Start date

As mentioned above, the trials for getting into the FNCS 2025 Divisions start on December 7, 2024, during Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. Here are the dates of all three Fortnite FNCS 2024 Majors:

  • FNCS Major 1 2025: January 29, 2025 to February 16, 2025
  • FNCS Major 2 2025: April 9, 2025 to April 27, 2025
  • FNCS Major 3 2025: July 16, 2025 to August 3, 2025

The events will be played in the following regions: North America Central, North America West, Brazil, Europe, Asia, Middle East, and Oceania. The date for the Global Championship has not yet been announced.

Global Championship

The FNCS Global Championship is the largest event every year, featuring the top players from around the world who showed exceptional performance throughout the three Majors. Here are the number of trios that will qualify from all the regions this year:

Rewards

The total prize pool of Fortnite FNCS 2025 is $8 million, slightly more than last year's $7.67 million. The complete breakdown of the prize pool according to region and event has not been announced yet. The Global Championship 2024 winners Peterbor and Pollo received the Blade Of Champions Pickaxe, which will be given to all Fortnite FNCS 2025 winners.

There will also be multiple FNCS Community Cups in 2025. The Champion Drake FNCS Community Cup is the first one, starting November 17, 2024. It is to be noted that the FNCS Community Cups do not have any cash prizes.
