Genshin Impact 5.4 leak hints at new Inazuma character
While Genshin Impact 5.2 is all set to be released next week, leaks for version 5.4 have already started surfacing. One such leak has hinted at the possibility of a new Inazuma character releasing in version 5.4. Since the Natlan main story ends in version 5.3, it is likely that the next patch could feature Inazuma and a new character from the region.

New playable Inazuma character to be released in Genshin Impact 5.4, as per leak
Information posted by 歸來舅 on Tieba and reposted by reputed leaker hxg_diluc on X suggests that a new playable Inazuma character will be released in Genshin Impact 5.4. There is no information yet as to whether this character will be a 4-star of a 5-star unit.
Since the Natlan Archon Quest ends in version 5.3, it is expected that version 5.4 will feature events and characters from a different region. Based on how it has been in the past, 5.4 might also feature the annual Lantern Rite event. In that case, it is yet to be seen how a character from Inazuma ties in with the Lantern Rite festival that is held in Liyue.
Previous leaks had hinted at a playable Madame Ping for Lantern Rite in Genshin Impact 5.4. Shared by full stop chan and reposted by hxg_diluc on X, this leak mentioned that Madame Ping would be released as a playable Polearm user from Liyue, with a signature weapon that has Crit DMG as the main stat.
With the new leak suggesting that a character from Inazuma will be released during the Lantern Rite patch, it is uncertain how both Madame Ping and the Inazuma unit will fit into the same patch. Of course, since the Inazuma character's rarity hasn't been leaked yet, it is very much possible that they might be a 4-star unit featured on a possible Madame Ping banner.
Needless to say, all of this is mere speculation, and players will have to wait for more information — via official announcements from HoYoverse — to confirm the possibility of a playable new character from Inazuma in Genshin Impact 5.4.
