Event Overview
During the Exercise Surging Storm event, players can participate in and complete unique wargames. Each wargame consists of ten rounds of battles where players face different opponents in each round. The goal is to strategically form and adjust lineups by collecting Combat Units and Stratagems to maximize your chances of victory.
Before each round, players can draw a certain number of Combat Units and Stratagems, with limited opportunities to reset their choices to refine their lineup. Combat Units are classified into Normal, Elite, and Apex classes, starting at Levels 20, 25, and 30, respectively.
As the wargame progresses, higher-tier units become available, with Elite units appearing after Round 2 and Apex units after Round 5. When two Combat Units of the same rank are collected, they automatically fuse into one unit of a higher rank, up to Rank 3.
Stratagems provide buffs and can be drawn during Rounds 1, 3, 5, and 7. Choosing the right Stratagems can significantly impact the outcome of the wargame. Players can exchange less useful units for chances to draw new ones. Switching out Rank 1, 2, or 3 units grants 1, 2, or 4 Reinforcement Points, respectively, and consuming 3 points allows you to draw a new unit.
At the start of each battle, both sides deploy one Combat Unit. As the battle goes on, more units can enter the field simultaneously. Units advance and attack automatically, and if a battle lasts too long, it enters an Attrition Warfare phase, where all units on the field continuously lose HP. The battle ends when one side defeats all opposing units, and the wargame ends after completing ten rounds or losing four rounds.
Different types of Combat Units have varying effectiveness against others. Melee Units have high resilience, capable of absorbing more damage and protecting allies. Flying Units can avoid ground-based melee and certain AoE attacks but are vulnerable to ranged attacks.
Ranged Units offer high damage output with long-range attacks but are fragile in defense. AoE DMG Units are particularly effective against squad units. Additionally, specific counters exist, such as Melee being effective against Ranged, Ranged countering Flying, and Flying countering Melee.
