Lanyan is supposedly a new character who will be releasing in Genshin Impact 5.3. According to leaks, she is a 5-Star Anemo unit who uses the girl model (like Ayaka, Kokomi, Lumine, etc). Information about her was first leaked by user @hxg_diluc on X, who hinted at her kit being that of a shielder. Subsequently, more leaks have cropped up (courtesy of leakers Narc1ssus and Seele leaks) that describe Lanyan's kit in detail, including her rarity, weapon, play style, and even her splash art.

Genshin Impact Lanyan kit leaked
Leakers Narc1ssus and Seele Leaks have shared information (sourced from the Genshin Impact 5.3 beta) regarding a potential Lanyan kit. This leak has disclosed Lanyan's possible ascension stat, weapon, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst.
Here are the details of Lanyan's possible kit, as shared via leaks:
Lanyan's Elemental Skill
Lanyan throws her Chakram, dealing Anemo DMG twice. She also creates an Anemo shield that scales off her ATK.
Lanyan's Elemental Burst
Lanyan deals three counts of Anemo DMG, which pulls enemies in. After using her Elemental Burst, the shield created by Lanyan's Elemental Skill can be converted into other elements that it comes in contact with.
This basically means Lanyan's Anemo shield can be converted into Pyro, Hydro, etc. shields based on whichever element it absorbs. This can be particularly useful while fighting enemies with Elemental attacks, as Lanyan can provide strong shielding with her shield element conversion effect.

Lanyan's Weapon
While Lanyan will supposedly use a Chakram in her skill, leaks suggest that her actual weapon is a Polearm. This means she will probably use her Chakram in a similar way that Chevreuse uses her Musket in certain animations (while her actual weapon is a Polearm), or how Clorinde uses Pistols while performing her Elemental Skill, despite being a Sword user.
Lanyan's ascension stat
Lanyan ascension stat is ATK, and her shield will also scale off her ATK, as shared via leaks.
Lanyan splash art
Meanwhile, Lanyan's splash art has also been leaked by credible leaker UTeyvat. As we can see from the Splash art, Lanyan's color palette has the typical Anemo colors, and she is holding her Chakram in her hand. She also has a shield around her, which is a nod to her shielding-focused kit and playstyle.
