Gratitude in Escape from Tarkov: How to complete and rewards

Gratitude, one of the Ragman quests in Escape from Tarkov, should be tackled as soon as possible since it unlocks critical quests like Hot Delivery and Sales Night, which are essential for progressing toward the Kappa secure container. In this quest, you must head to Woods to plant several masks and sunglasses.

Although this task may sound easy, it becomes challenging due to the exposed locations where the items need to be planted, making you vulnerable to opposing PMC operatives.

Since Gratitude is a mid-wipe task, you will likely be well-versed with Woods. If not, we recommend using maps like the Map Genie or the Tarkov Wiki for guidance.

Load into a Woods raid and head towards the sawmill where Shturman usually spawns, not the old sawmill.

When you arrive at the sawmill, go to the lake shore, where you will see the wooden dock with some barrels. Now, all you have to do is get close to the barrels on the dock and plant all four quest items.

Since each planting process takes around 20 seconds, you have to sit still and cannot press any keys. If you accidentally press your free look keybind, don’t let it go if you are almost done, as releasing the key will stop the planting process.

Tips to complete Gratitude in Escape from Tarkov

Since the area where you have to sit and plant all the quest items is quite exposed, it's better to do this task at night when there are less players. You can use a cheap night vision goggles kit, which will cost you around 40-50 thousand Roubles.

The vision of scavs and all the AIs on the map is also limited at night, which means they won't shoot you if you are not too close to them.
