Gunsmith Part 8 in Escape from Tarkov: How to complete and rewards
Players must complete Gunsmith Part 8 in Escape from Tarkov to make themselves eligible for The Collector task and progress through the game. You can acquire this quest after completing Gunsmith Part 7, and in a similar fashion, tasks you with building an AKS-74N following Mechanic's instructions.

Similar to other Gunsmith tasks, you must complete the following objectives to finish Gunsmith Part 8 in Escape from Tarkov:
- Modify and build an AKS-74N as per the instructions.
- Hand the AKS-74N over to Mechanic.

The AKS-74N build for Gunsmith Part 8
To build the AKS-74N, you need to buy it first. You can pick the weapon up from Prapor which will cost you roughly 40,000 Roubles.
After buying the weapon from Prapor, right-click on it and hit the “Edit Build” option to start building the weapon. For this particular Gunsmith task, you must build the weapon with only Zenit parts. If you mistakenly use a non-Zenit part, you won't be able to turn it in.
Here is a list of parts you need to purchase for Gunsmith Part 8 in Escape from Tarkov:
- AK Zenit PT-3 stock
- AKS-74/AKS-74U Zenit PT Lock
- AK Zenit RK-3 pistol grip
- Zenit B-33 dust cover
- Zenit B-30 handguard with B-31S upper handguard rail
- Zenit DTK-1 muzzle brake compensator
- Zenit RK-0 Tactical foregrip
- AK-12 30-round magazine
- Zenit Klesch-2IKS IR illuminator with laser
Once you finish modding the weapon with the parts listed above, purchase them and assemble it. If you don't have some of the parts unlocked, buying them from the flea market is the next best option. However, do note that buying them off the flee could prove to be rather expensive.
Once the modified weapon is in your stash, go to Mechanic's task tab and hand the weapon over to complete the task.
