"Hopefully the card will be better" - Barcelona wonderkid Marc Casado hopes for a better EA FC rating next year
Marc Casado, a central defensive midfielder for Barcelona, recently expressed his feelings about his EA FC 25 card. The 21-year-old has made 22 appearances for Barcelona this season, playing 15 matches and registering three assists in LaLiga. He also got a yellow thrice and was sent off once. Likewise, he made 6 appearances in the Champions League, bagging two assists and one yellow.
Marc Casado holds a 65-rated silver card in EA FC 25, which is unusable as per Ultimate Team standards. Taking note of this, he insisted that his performances this season should lead to a better card next year, saying:
"My card in FIFA is quite bad, but that's normal. At the start of the season, not many people knew my level, or I hadn't shown it yet. Hopefully the card will be better next year."
Marc Casado has been a critical deep-lying playmaker for Barcelona this season. Even Hansi Flick acknowledged his importance, as during a press conference on Dec. 2, the Barca manager showered praise on the midfielder, saying:
"He can read the match and knows exactly where he has to be. He knows what to do with the ball. He's doing really great."
What are Marc Casado's current stats and what rating could he have in FC 26?
Marc Casado, a 21-year-old Spanish midfielder for FC Barcelona, has a balanced skill set suited for a central midfield role. His standout attributes include ball control (72) and short passing (70), which make him effective in maintaining possession and linking play. His vision (65) and long passing (68) further support his ability to distribute the ball effectively across the pitch.

Defensively, Casado shows decent competence with interceptions (63) and stand tackling (63), though his overall defensive awareness (61) is modest. On the physical side, his stamina (54) and strength (51) are notable weaknesses, limiting his impact over long matches or in physically demanding situations.
While his pace (58) and shooting stats (54) are average, his ability to handle the ball under pressure and his passing accuracy make him a reliable midfield option in less intense scenarios. However, he lacks any specialized traits or PlayStyles+, which might restrict his versatility in highly competitive settings.
In the next installment of EA FC, we could see a huge upgrade to Marc Casado's stats. His overall rating could see a +14 boost, taking him to a 78 rating. He could even enter club-80 considering his current form, as they significantly boosted Cole Palmer's rating in EA FC 25.
