Located in the Tower of Insolence dungeon, the Devourer of Stars is considered one of the hardest bosses in Metaphor ReFantazio. Naturally, there are a few key things that you should keep in mind when facing off against this dragon in-game.

The dragon has several abilities that can inflict heavy damage on you, limit your party-wide HP to 300, and buff its attacks. Furthermore, it is invulnerable to most spells except Almighty so do not use the Mage archetype against it. You also shouldn't use the Repel Magic spell as the Devourer of Stars will cast an attack that will instakill your party.

Now let's go over a few tips and tricks to take down the Devourer of Stars in Metaphor ReFantazio.

Archetypes

  • Prince
  • Warlord/ Tycoon
  • Savior
  • Trickster

Prince, Warlord, and Tycoon have some of the hardest-hitting Almighty spells in their possession. Warlord also can buff your party, and Trickster can remove any buffs that the dragon will apply to itself. Meanwhile, Savior has access to healing spells and the debuff-removing Patra skill that comes in handy when dealing with the Devourer of Star's ability to inflict the poison status effect.

Typically, elite Archetypes in Metaphor ReFantazio are the best way to deal with endgame bosses like the Devourer of Stars in Metaphor ReFantazio. If you do not have them, you can use their less powerful variants, but it will be a tough battle.

Recommended equipment

This is one of the most challenging fights, so make sure to equip your party members with the best gear possible. Also, stock up on items that can heal you or remove poison. Almighty Panacea is a great consumable to have for this fight as it can cleanse party-wide debuff.

You will also want to equip your Saviour Archetype with any igniter that can deal Almighty damage. One of these can be bought from the Lycaon Magic Association on Sunlomeo Street in Grand Trad.

Furthermore, cook up some Almighty Golden Stew in your Gauntlet Runner while flying towards the Tower of Insolence.

Remove buffs from the Devourer of Stars.

Anytime the dragon uses the Great Dragon’s Wrath skill, make sure to use the Trickster's skills to remove the buffs else your party will take heavy damage.

Do not use any attack except Almighty

The Devourer of Stars can deflect most attacks except Almighty. Make sure to only use Almighty skills else the damage will bounce back to the caster, killing them, and removing turns from your order.

Use healing and cleanse debuffs

Use the Medicall and Pen Patra skills at crucial times to make sure your team survives the onslaught that the dragon will bring upon you.

The battle will be arduous and can take a few tries. We recommend fighting the Devourer of Stars in Metaphor ReFantazio on an NG+ run.
