How to defeat Zorba in Metaphor ReFantazio
Zorba in Metaphor ReFantazio is one of the many early bosses you will face in the game. He is one of Louis's lackeys and a major threat that you will need to take down before you can proceed with the main story and end the threat looming over the Regalith Grand Cathedral in Grand Trad.
This article covers everything you must know about defeating Zorba in Metaphor ReFantazio.
A guide to defeating Zorba in Metaphor ReFantazio
Zorba is the main culprit behind the attack on the cathedral. After this, you will finally face off against the powerful necromancer. Magic attacks will be ineffective against him, which is why we don't recommend bringing in the Mage archetype for this boss fight.
Here are some key details to know before attempting to defeat Zorba in Metaphor ReFantazio.
Recommended Archetypes
- Healer
- Warrior
- Knight
Do not use the Mage for this boss fight. Zorba can nullify Bot, Cyclo, Zan, or Blizz spells. The healer works best on the protagonist. You will have access to the Light spell, Hama, and can heal allies with Medi.
Warrior's round slash skill is an AoE spell that will be useful. Knight's Jump Thrust Synthesis skill will be essential because of the multiple enemies present during this battle.
Recommended equipment
Make sure to stock up on items that can deal light damage like Luminous Sphere. You will get some of these while traversing the Cathedral dungeon. You can also buy some party-wide healing items from the General Shop on Sunshade Row.
The boss battle
The corpses are weak to Light
Zorba will conjure corpses to do his dirty work. You can deal with them by using the Hama spell from the healer archetype or any items that deal light damage. This will also strike their weakness and give you Press Turns, as Zorba lacks any weaknesses.
Use Medi to survive the fight
Zorba can deal heavy damage to the party using his magecraft. Make sure to use Medi at proper intervals to survive the incoming onslaught.
With that, Zorba in Metaphor ReFantazio will be defeated and the game will progress to the next part of the story where you will face Homo Avades. Don't worry about consuming too much MP, as the game will restore it before you can face the Human monstrosity.
