How to get free Xiangling outfit New Year's Cheer in Genshin Impact 5.3
HoYoverse recently revealed the new character outfits releasing with Genshin Impact version 5.3. The recent Special Program livestream showcased the upcoming skins for Hu Tao and Xiangling. While the former's outfit will be purchasable from the in-game shop, Xiangling's outfit is set to be given out for free during the update.

How to get Xiangling's new skin for free in Genshin Impact 5.3
Xiangling will be the latest 4-star character to receive a new skin in the upcoming Genshin Impact 5.3 update. Her new outfit is called "New Year's Cheer" and features her in a red and white Santa Claus-like jacket and a beanie, which is themed after her companion, Guoba.
Similar to past instances, Xiangling's new outfit will be given out for free to players during 2025's Lantern Rite Festival, which will be celebrated in the upcoming update, scheduled to go live on January 1, 2025.
The version 5.3 livestream has confirmed that players can obtain the free Xiangling skin by participating in the Springtime Charms flagship event during the update. It will include a variety of mini-games and objectives, with the following items being offered as rewards:
- Xiangling's new outfit "New Year's Cheer"
- Primogems
- Character level-up materials
- Agnidus Agate stones
- Talent level-up materials
- Weapon level-up materials
- Artifact level-up materials
- Crown of Insight
- Mora
Fans are recommended to meet the prerequisites to obtaining the new free Xiangling skin within the event timeframe. If they miss out on it in the 5.3 update, they will be required to spend Genesis Crystals in the in-game shop to get it in the future.
Hu Tao's new outfit will also be arriving in the 5.3 update
Aside from Xiangling, Hu Tao's new character outfit will also be introduced to the game during the Lantern Rite Festival 2025. It features her in a new white and red outfit, a new hat, and a pair of red sunglasses.
Similar to the release of other 5-star character skins, Hu Tao's new outfit will be available for a discounted price during the version 5.3 update.
