About seeding
Seeds refer to a small part of a plant responsible for growing a new crop. The kernels are distributed into the ground after cultivating the land. Crops such as wheat, barley, oats, canola, sorghum, soybeans, oil seed radish, grass, corn, sugar beet, cotton, sunflowers, soybeans, and potatoes are usually seeded into the ground.
What to buy?
If you want to buy seeds for seeding or planting, you can buy:
- Bigbag: 1000 liter for $800
- Bigbag Palett: 1000 liter for $900
- Palett: 1000 liter for $950
How to buy seeds?
To buy the pips in Farming Simulator 25, you must go into the shop menu or open the store. Open the vehicles tab and navigate downwards until you see the Objects category. You can buy any amount to sow.
Note that the purchases will appear around the vehicle shop in town. You can load the paletts into any vehicle that can carry them — such as a trailer. However, do not load them into a truck, as this will result in the bags being opened.
Equipment you need to sow
You will require machinery to plant these into the ground. Machines are divided into planters and seeders.
- Seeders are used for wheat, barley, oats, canola, sorghum, soybeans, oil seed radish, and grass.
- Planters are used for corn, sugar beet, cotton, sunflowers, soybeans, and potatoes.
- Special Planters are required for sugar cane, trees & poplar.
If you don't feel like cultivating your land beforehand, you can also buy the costlier direct seeding machines, which directly sow the kernels into the ground, forgoing the need for plowing. However, this will result in a faster appearance of weeds.
You can also extend the capacity of some seeders by purchasing additional tanks for them.
How to load seeds into the seeders
After purchasing seeds, you must position the seeder/planter next to the palett. When the option appears, hit Y to choose the type of pip, then hit the Refill button, and it will automatically load them into the seeder.
