How to get and use Adamant in Hades 2
Hades 2 has added a lot of content with the Olympic Update, including new resources to gather on the Surface. This includes Adamant, a mineral found in Olympus. It is a key component for crafting a newly available weapon as well as for alchemy purposes, meaning players who want to see it all should get their hands on it as soon as possible.
That said, it does take some effort to obtain it but the hardship is worth it. This guide details everything you need to know about finding and using Adamant in Hades 2.
How to get Adamant in Hades 2
Adamant can be found in the Mount Olympus region. As with other minerals, it will spawn as a rocky outcrop that must be mined.
Players must have the Crescent Pick tool equipped before beginning their Surface run to be able to harvest mining reagents. Alternatively, having the Familiar Raki the Raven alongside protagonist Melinoe will also serve the same purpose.
That said, this is a roguelite game. As such, Adamant spawns are not guaranteed which means players must keep an eye out around the areas they explore on Olympus while fighting the new automaton enemies. This is the third region on the Surface, so to get to it, players must fight through two regions and beat their respective challenging bosses.

How to use Adamant in Hades 2
Adamant has a few uses in Supergiant Games' sequel to the acclaimed 2020 title. For one, it is one of the two main ingredients for unlocking the brand-new weapon Black Coat — a bizarre jetpack contraption that allows moving at high speeds while also pumping out highly damaging rockets.
Additionally, it can also be used to unlock a couple of Incantations at the Cauldron near Headmistress Hecate in the hub area of the game. This includes Frozen Lifespring Incantation (Iris x3, Adamant x3) which spawns a health-restoring fountain on Olympus. There is also the Eyes of Night and Darkness (G-Rock x2, Adamant x2) which may spawn a Moon Monument or Unseen Sigil in locations.
