How to increase Imagination in Metaphor ReFantazio

Imagination is one of the Royal Virtues in Metaphor ReFantazio, making it crucial for your overall journey. A high Imagination is required for several interactions with your followers, and while it may not be the stat you prioritize, it’s still worthwhile to improve it. Whether you’re talking with the locals, or completing important tasks, there are several ways to improve this stat.

The Royal Virtues work similarly to Persona 5’s social stats - they don’t impact combat, but instead, impact how you deal with the world around you. All of the stats are important, and they can all be mastered by the time you complete this game. Here’s how to handle Imagination in Metaphor ReFantazio.

Tips on increasing your Imagination in Metaphor ReFantazio

As you progress through Metaphor ReFantazio, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to increase your Imagination. With ample time to prepare for important tasks and the downtime between traveling in the Gauntlet Runner, you can easily prioritize increasing your Imagination stat at your own pace.

However, it’s never worth it to visit previous cities to increase your Imagination. As you get to newer main cities - Grand Trad, Martira, Port Brilehaven, Altabury Heights - you’ll receive more exp for each stat. That means once you’ve hit Port Brilehaven, it won’t be worth it to speak to the Elder of Martira, and so on.

Speak with the Chatter Elder - Grand Trad, Sumleo Street
Speak to the Nostalgic Elder - Martira, Thoroughfare Square
Speak to the Sanctor - Port Brilehaven, Angler’s Inn Square
Speak to the Clumsy Man - Altabury Heights, Opera House Square (Daytime)
Speak to the Chipper Old Woman - Altabury Heights, Lower Dia Franco Street (Nighttime)

You can also increase your Imagination in the game by completing specific quests, most of which involve the Follower More, at Akademia. There’s at least one other quest that increases your Imagination upon completion.
