How to open Mausoleum gates in Metaphor ReFantazio
Metaphor ReFantazio offers a detailed world that rewards players for exploring its vast map. Available on PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, the title is set in the fictional and scenic United Kingdom of Euchronia, with the protagonist having a whole host of supporting characters join them over the course of the game's campaign.
One of the hurdles that may be faced on this path is the locked gates in the Mausoleum. These may seem almost impenetrable at first, but it is possible to get past these gates. Below is a guide on where the gates are located, and how to proceed past these gates into the Mausoleum area.

Where to find the Mausoleum gates in Metaphor ReFantazio
On the first visit to the Mausoleum, players will be unable to open the Mausoleum gates no matter the tactics they employ. This occurs not long after the Regalith Grand Cathedral has been explored, and the first Mausoleum boss has been taken down. The gates will remain locked until later in the story.
Once players progress into the part of the story where they reach the town of Martira and unlock fast travel, they can come back to Grand Trad's Sunlomeo Street to find a nobleman in front of the Lycaon Magic association. Talking to him will give you a side quest where you need to go back to the Catacombs.
How to open the Mausoleum gates in Metaphor ReFantazio
Enter the area, and a set of soldiers will greet the protagonist with less-than-stellar news, that the Cathedral gates had been inaccessible due to repairs to the Cathedral. At this point, the previously locked gates will be visibly open and accessible to players. The items in the area can then be looted by the party.
Two of the closest items that can be picked up are the Holy Ossuary and Rusted Accessory. Other paths within the dungeon may also seem inaccessible, but there are a variety of paths that players can take to access those areas as well.
