How to unlock Metal Cooler in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero lets you step into the shoes of Cooler, the elder sibling of Frieza and a prominent antagonist of the series. His transformed form, Metal Cooler, is also available as a playable character. However, it is important to note that both these characters must be unlocked by completing a few specific objectives in the game.

All methods to unlock Metal Cooler in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
There are two ways to unlock Metal Cooler in the game. Once he is unlocked, you can use him to dominate the battlefield, as he possesses strong abilities like Instant Transmission, Regeneration, Supernova, and more. Both the processes have been detailed below.
Unlock Metal Cooler from the in-game shop
The most straightforward way to unlock Metal Cooler is by purchasing him from the in-game shop. Go to the Shop & Customize section from the Main Menu and select Shop/Customize. After that, you can find both Cooler and Metal Cooler for purchase.
You need to spend the following amount of Zeni to unlock them:
- Cooler: 90,000 Zeni
- Metal Cooler: 1,05,000 Zeni

Get Cooler via Frieza's Saga to unlock Metal Cooler
If you want to unlock Metal Cooler without spending any Zeni, you have to get access to Cooler first by playing Frieza's episode battles. Then complete one of Zen-Oh's missions to acquire him as a reward.
All of the required steps are laid out below:
- Play Frieza's episode battles and reach Chapter 5: Frieza Revived.
- Start the chapter and make sure to defeat both Goku and Vegeta as quickly as possible. It will trigger a new path in the story.
- The new chapter called Frieza's Philosophy will give you four options to choose from. Make sure to select Cooler.
- Complete the subsequent mission to unlock Cooler in the game.
- Then, use Cooler 10 times in any battle (offline/online) to complete one of Zen-Oh's missions.
Once you complete these objectives, navigate to Zen-Oh's Order section from the Main Menu to claim your rewards. Upon doing so, you will gain access to Metal Cooler in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, allowing you to use it in both offline and online battles.
