Italy vs France: Which is the better team in EA FC 25?

Italy vs France is quite an exciting fixture in international football, be it real-life or EA FC 25. The former has some great versatile players like Nicolo Barella, Alessandro Bastoni, and Federico Dimarco, whereas the latter has a stacked offense in Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, and Marcus Thuram. Needless to say, these players make for a match worth watching.

While their upcoming Nations League game will give us an answer as to which is the better team in real life, in EA FC 25, we will look at their squads and player ratings.

Italy is set in the 5-3-2 formation in EA FC 25, which is led by Federico Chiesa (93 Pace, 83 Shooting, 86 Dribbling) and Mateo Retegui (72 Pace, 76 Shooting, 70 Dribbling). France, on the other hand, uses the 4-3-3 setup, in which the attack consists of Marcus Thuram (87 Pace, 81 Shooting, 82 Dribbling), Ousmane Dembele (92 Pace, 75 Shooting, 88 Dribbling), and of course, Kylian Mbappe (97 Pace, 90 Shooting, 92 Dribbling).

FC IQ Player Roles are used for assigning tactical duties, and individuals who have a + or ++ in a role are considered a great choice for it.

As can be seen in the image above, eight of Italy's starting XI either have a Player Role+ or ++ in the default setup, and France has seven. So, just like EA FC 25 player ratings above, Italy and France look pretty well-matched tactically as well.

Italy vs France: Final verdict

Italy and France are both strong teams and are well-matched in terms of player ratings and tactical prowess. However, France's attack looks better due to the high ratings in departments like Pace and Shooting, and can be a menace for any opponent. Although Italy has just as good of a midfield and defense, its attack doesn't look as threatening. Therefore, France can be considered the better team in EA FC 25.
