Metaphor ReFantazio Eupha guide: How to unlock, Bond ranks, and abilities
Metaphor ReFantazio is the latest turn-based JRPG on the market, developed by Atlus and Sega, the creators of the popular Persona series. With detailed RPG elements and a wealth of main and side content for players to explore, the game has no shortage of activities to enjoy.
In the game, the protagonist can often be accompanied by supporting characters, called Followers. Among them, Eupha stands out as one of the best followers, due to her special magical abilities, making her a significant asset in battles. Here is a guide on how to unlock Eupha.

Eupha unlock criteria in Metaphor ReFantazio
Eupha can be unlocked after completing the Trial of Malnova quest. This quest is given to players when they arrive on the island of Virga and choose to interact with her. Eupha is a part of the in-universe Mustari tribe and is incredibly skilled at magic, making her an invaluable asset to the party. Keep in mind that you can only interact with her during the day.
Eupha Bond Rank unlock criteria and Bond Abilities in Metaphor ReFantazio
Below are the Rank unlock criteria and rewards for Eupha:
Note: All of the unlock criteria for Eupha aren't known presently. The article will be updated in the future with more details on Eupha's bond unlock criteria.
Rank 1: Unlocked on 08/20, after completing the Trial of Malnova. Unlocks the Summoner Archetype, allowing the party to study the Summoner.
Rank 2: Unlocks Summoner Enlightenment, which reduces the MAG cost of studying the Summoner lineage. Also unlocks Pagan Teachings, which reduces the chance of the party being afflicted with Anxiety.
Rank 3: Unlocks Scion's Skill, which increases skill inheritance slots for the Summoner lineage to two. Also unlocks Battle Aura, which increases EXP gain if Eupha is a reserve.
Rank 4: Unlocks Summoner Veneration, which significantly reduces the MAG cost of studying the Summoner lineage.
Rank 5: Unlocks Scion's Merit, which increases skill inheritance slots for the Summoner lineage to three.
Rank 6: Unlocked after Eloquence has been leveled up to 4. Unlocks Summoner Archetype: Elite, which allows the party to study the Devil Summoner.
Rank 7: Unlocked once Wisdom has been leveled up to 5. Unlocks Battle Hypnosis, which increases EXP gain to the normal rate if Eupha is a reserve.
Rank 8: Unlocked after talking to Eupha while aboard the Gauntlet Runner. There are three rewards for unlocking Rank 8:
- Scion's Essence, which increases skill inheritance slots for the Summoner lineage to four.
- Pagan Secrets, which reduces the chance of the party being afflicted with Anxiety even further.
- Grand Fantasy, which allows Eupha to acquire a new Heroic Embodiment.
