Metaphor ReFantazio More guide: How to unlock, Bond ranks, and abilities
Sega and Atlus' latest creation is Metaphor ReFantazio, a JRPG not too dissimilar to the creators' other popular franchise of Persona. Playable on the PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X and S platforms, the title takes players across dungeons, cathedrals, and forts cities scattered across the United Kingdom of Euchronia.
The game has a follower system, which sees different characters join the protagonist over the course of the campaign. One of the earliest followers encountered is called More, and his bond and its related abilities make him a valuable addition to the party.

More unlock criteria in Metaphor ReFantazio
After defeating the Homo Gorleo optional boss, players will be transported to Akademia, where they will first encounter More. Not much is known about his personality, but the first meeting with him unlocks Rank 1 in his bond level immediately.
More Bond Rank unlock dates and Bond Abilities in Metaphor ReFantazio
Unlike most other characters with whom simply engaging in conversation increases the Bond, More's Bond Level can be increased only by completing various challenges and tasks that he poses to the protagonist.
The Rank unlock criteria and rewards for More are mentioned below:
Rank 1: Unlocked on 6/5 after completing the Homo Gorleo fight. Unlocks the Seeker Archetype, allowing the party to study the Seeker Archetype. Also unlocks Bright-Eyed Student, allowing the party to change between Archetypes once unlocked in Akademeia.
Rank 2: Unlocked after reaching Healer Rank 10 with any character. There are three rewards for unlocking Rank 2:
- Seeker Enlightenment, which reduces the MAG cost of studying the Seeker Lineage.
- Scion’s Skill, which increases skill inheritance slots for the Seeker Lineage to two.
- More’s Magic Igniter, which makes the Archetype Tree accessible from the Main Menu.
Rank 3: Unlocked by studying the Gunner archetype. Unlocks Seeker Archetype: Adept, allowing the party to study the Magic Seeker.
Rank 4: Unlocked after reaching Merchant Rank 15 with any character. Unlocks Ability Forecast, allowing for a preview of all abilities for followers from the main menu.
Rank 5: Unlocked after studying any 15 archetypes. Unlocks Scion’s Merit, which increases skill inheritance slots for the Seeker Lineage to three.
Rank 6: Unlocked after reaching General Rank 15 with any character. Unlocks Seeker Veneration, which Significantly reduces the MAG cost of studying the Seeker.
Rank 7: Unlocked after studying any 25 archetypes. Unlocks Seeker Archetype: Elite, which allows the party to study the Soul Hacker. Also unlocks Scion's Essence, which increases the skill inheritance slots for Seeker to four.
Rank 8: Unlocked by raising an Elite Archetype to level 20 for any character. Unlocks Archetype Evangelist, which increases an Archetype's status bonuses by +3 while channeling it.
