Metaphor ReFantazio Neuras guide: How to unlock, Bond ranks, and abilities
Metaphor ReFantazio, being an RPG, incorporates many popular elements from the genre, such as party management, having characters rank up and increase their level and much more. The title incorporates a similar way for players to rank up their fellow party members, and doing so requires increasing the "Bond Rank" of the characters.
Although the Bond Rank can be increased by conversing with them, for certain characters, such as More, a quest line has to be completed instead in order to progress. Neuras also follows this trend, and below is a guide on how to unlock his Bond ranks.

Neuras unlock criteria in Metaphor ReFantazio
Neuras is a technical master and an extremely skilled pilot. Unlocking Neuras' bond requires completing the "Providing a Spark" side quest, which is unlocked on 6/26. Completing the quest unlocks Rank 1 in his Bond level.
Basilio Bond Rank unlock criteria and Bond Abilities in Metaphor ReFantazio
Retrieving relics for Neuras is the only way to unlock his Bond ranks. He will leave a clue on a notebook located on the Gauntlet Runner, outlining the location of said relics. These are found within the many optional dungeons, and Gallica will also inform players when a relic is within a dungeon they're about to enter.
The Rank unlock criteria and rewards for Neuras are mentioned below:
Rank 1: Find the Glass Relic in Komero Village, which also completes the aforementioned "Providing a Spark" quest. Unlocks Gunner Archetype, which allows the party to study the Gunner lineage.
Rank 2: Find the Screwed-Up Mineral in the Man-Eater's Grotto dungeon. Unlocks Bombardier, making enemies take damage upon a battle commencing atop the Gauntlet Runner deck, and Gunner Enlightenment, which reduces the MAG cost of studying the Gunner Lineage.
Rank 3: Find the Gypsum Cube in the Tomb of Lament. Unlocks Gunner Archetype: Adept, allowing the party to study the Sniper.
Rank 4: Find the Mossy Pillar Relic in the Land of Ceremony. Unlocks Scion's Skill (Gunner), which increases skill inheritance slots for the Gunner lineage to two.
Rank 5: Find the Parquet Chest in Scoundrel's Hold. Unlocks Bombastic Bombardier, making enemies take even more damage upon a battle commencing atop the Gauntlet Runner deck. It also unlocks Gunner Veneration, which significantly reduces the MAG cost of studying the Gunner lineage.
Rank 6: Find the Stitched Sphere relic in Mt. Vulkano. Unlocks Scion's Merit (Gunner), which increases skill inheritance slots for the Gunner lineage to three.
Rank 7: Find the Panhandled Ore in the Everfrost Forest. Unlocks Seedling Synergy, which increases the number of plants that can be harvested in the Plant Culture Chamber by 1.
Rank 8: The location for the eighth relic is simply mentioned as being in "Area Unknown" before reaching Rank 6 with Neuras. The relic's location is revealed upon reaching Rank 6, where he directs players toward a dungeon to find the final relic. Within the said dungeon, players will have to battle a tough enemy to access said relic.
Unlocks Gunner Archetype: Elite, allowing the party to study the Dragoon. Also unlocks Scion's Essence (Gunner), which increases skill inheritance slots for the Gunner lineage to four.
