Metaphor ReFantazio walkthrough: How to complete the Edge of Glory quest
Within Metaphor ReFantazio, players are treated to a wealth of side content they can partake in while not focusing on the main campaign. Activities within this include fishing, participating in debates and much more. Some of the popular ones are side quests, which have players help out the many NPCs around the vast United Kingdom of Euchronia and have the party fetch items for them.
Of these, the Edge of Glory side quest has players traverse across the map in a bid to claim a legendary Broadsword hidden within Mt. Vulkano. Below are the steps to complete this side quest.

Completing the Edge of Glory quest in Metaphor ReFantazio
First, make your way over to Sunshade Row in Grand Trad any time after 9/26. An NPC by the name of Ornamented Man will be present at the location and can be spoken to. He will reveal that Mt. Vulkano hides a Legendary Broadsword, which once belonged to the War King. After this, Mt. Vulkano will be unlocked, so travel to it on the Gauntlet Runner.
After reaching Mt. Vulkano, head over to the first floor, where an NPC can be encountered. Head straight ahead, and the path splits into two. Head right and you will eventually encounter three routes, so choose the one which leads straight. Proceed and try to avoid enemies, and you will find another NPC.
Head past it, and there will be a path to the right and one heading straight. Take a right and follow the cave system until some enemies are encountered. They surround a pit, which you must jump into. Reach this lower level and head right once again. Run past some enemies, and another pit will be present, which you can also jump in.
Turn to the opposite direction you are facing, and go down the path. Head right and continue moving ahead while attempting to avoid the many enemies in the way. A path deviating to the left will be visible, which leads to a small room with a ladder. Climb up the ladder and look behind to find a small opening to crawl through. Head through this crawlspace, and you will be in a new area.
Follow the cave system, and do not jump into any of the pits. Go past the first two pits and shimmy past the third pit. A bit further ahead, a ladder is present, use it to climb up. Once it has been scaled, climb the following two ladders as well and follow the cave system until a pit appears, from which you need to head right.
Proceeding on this path will reveal a chest, within which is the Rusty Greatsword. Head back to the Ornamented Man, who will repair the sword and present players with a Legendary Broadsword, and 45,000 Reeves.
