Mortal Kombat 11 is on its way, and with only a few months left until release, NetherRealm Studios will be releasing bits of info here and there to help get fans hyped for the game. At their special event two weeks ago, we were introduced to new characters Geras and Kronica, along with the reveal that Ronda Rousey would portray series protagonist Sonya Blade.

Now, we know that one of Blade's deadliest enemies will return for Mortal Kombat 11.

NetherRealms revealed on the official Mortal Kombat Twitter page that Kano would be returning to the fray come April 23rd.

Kano has been playable in nearly every single Mortal Kombat game since the inception of the series, being one of the original seven playable characters. The leader of the mercenary group The Black Dragon is one of the vilest and corrupt souls to have ever participated in any Mortal Kombat tournament, which is saying something considering the rest of the competitors.

Kano is the embodiment of greed, doing whatever he can to get what he wants. On multiple occasions, Kano has betrayed his own allies, and even his home realm, simply for money. Most of the time, Kano is hired by the likes of Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, or in the most recent title, Mortal Kombat X, Mileena, who was attempting to overthrow the newest leader of Outworld, Kotal Kahn.

However, as deadly and conniving as he may be, he's also a coward. Groveling at the feet of those who look to injure or arrest him, like Sonya Blade, is usually his last line of defense in order to make an escape.

Along with his butterfly knives, Kano also brings his special cybernetics to the field. His trusty laser eye has been a staple since the first game. He also commands some pretty impressive combative maneuvers, such as the Kano Ball, an iconic maneuver that allows him an incredible amount of range, mobility, and destruction.

Join the Black Dragon with Kano, or take down the disgusting crime lord with Sonya Blade on April 23rd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows.
