"Haven't a clue who the guy is": Conor McGregor reacts to being asked about Adin Ross while streaming on Kick
Popular Irish MMA fighter Conor McGregor was streaming on Kick today (Monday 20) and seemingly dissed content creator Adin Ross, one of the biggest streamers on the platform. Conor was live from the official Duelbits channel and was playing casino games such as Blackjack while interacting with the audience.
Considering how famous he is around the world for his fighting acumen, plenty of people tuned in to the stream. One viewer in the audience asked Conor McGregor to give his thoughts about the popular Kick streamer Adin Ross. The subsequent clip of him claiming he has no idea about the content creator has gone viral on social media.
The Mystic Mac had stated:
"Do you know Adin Ross, he was talking sh*t? Haven't a clue who the guy is. Not a f**king iota."
Why was Conor McGregor streaming on Kick?
Duelbits, like Kick's parent company Stake, is a crypto casino with online games that allow users to gamble with cryptocurrency and exchange it for other currencies. They have numerous high-profile partnerships with sportspersons and organizations such as snooker champion Kyren Wilson and Uruguayan football star Luis Suarez.
Duelbits also has a partnership with MMA star Conor McGregor, and the press release touts their collaboration as "the genesis of a thrilling new era in gaming, promising to reshape the crypto gaming landscape."
A couple of days ago, it was announced that McGregor would be doing a sponsored livestream on the official brand channels across the internet, which includes Kick. In the announcement shared on official social media accounts, the UFC star states:
"Hey, Duelbits fans it is The Notorious Conor McGregor here! Join me for a live stream this Monday, May 20th exclusively on Duelbits' channels."
The Notorious also insinuated that viewers tuning in to watch the livestreams on Kick and other platforms would be eligible for giveaways, a common tactic in promotional materials:
"Watch me rake in some bread and I may even share that bread with you and those on the stream."
Speaking of gambling, Adin Ross is also known for his casino games and slots streams on Kick. A couple of months ago, the streamer revealed that he had lost about $40 million in wagers on crypto-based gambling.
