Major CS2 issue leaves players unable to play matches

CS2 players are experiencing high packet loss that hinders them from playing a match. Packet loss is common with FPS titles, such as Valorant and CS2. However, what makes it frustrating is that after trying every possible fix, it tends to persist, making the game laggy. Recently, professional Counter-Strike player Peter Rasmussen, posted on X about how the issue has hindered his gameplay even after trying every possible fix.

CS2 packet loss issue leaves players unable to play matches

In a recent X post, @dupreeh, a CS2 professional who plays for Falcons Esports, raised concerns about the issue of high packet loss during a match. According to him, this is something new in the title, where ping spikes abruptly cause severe packet loss.

He tried every possible solution to fix the issue but it has persisted. Due to this, players face teleportation, difficulty while aiming, and heavy lag.

Many players have tried to use a VPN and clear the DNS but it still occurrs. Some gamers with low ping face high packet loss and frequent disruption, making the game almost unplayable. What’s more annoying is that one won't notice packet loss until joining a match. This causes players to derank and suffer defeats.

Despite several reports and complaints, the developers are yet to respond, raising concern among players. That said, the community is patiently waiting for a permanent solution to restore smooth and uninterrupted gameplay.
