Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection physical release announced
Capcom has announced that physical copies of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics are available to buy right now. These concern the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions of the classic collection of Capcom crossover fighter titles and a Marvel beat-em-up, allowing hardcore fans to finally get their hands on the tangible copies.
While the game has been out for a couple of months now, this is still good news for players who have been holding out for a physical launch, since this is a nostalgic bundle of iconic retro games. Here are the full details.
How much does Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection physical edition cost?
Fans looking to grab themselves a copy on PS4 or Nintendo Switch will need to shell out $49.99. Those who pre-ordered their physical editions will receive a special tie-in comic included with the box — a neat reward for the fans' patience.
For the uninitiated, this bundle includes seven beloved games released from the years 1990-2000, including six fighting games and one beat-em-up. They are:
- Marvel Super Heroes
- Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter
- Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes
- Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes
- The Punisher
- X-Men: Children of the Atom
- X-Men vs. Street Fighter
Among these, MvC2 has been one of the most requested games over the years by fans demanding a remaster or remake from Capcom. While this collection is far more traditional than a modern glowup, it still allows players, both new and returning, a way to enjoy the title on modern platforms.
