PMGC 2024 PEL Qualifier: Teams, dates, and schedule

The PMGC 2024 PEL Qualifier is scheduled to be played from October 18 to 20 in Chengdu, China. A total of 16 Chinese clubs will participate in the competition for one spot in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024. This will be the last chance for these teams to reach the upcoming Championship. In total, 18 matches will be played over the course of three days.

Similar to the previous edition, the 2024 PMGC will feature a total of four Chinese teams. Three teams have already been selected from the PEL events. TJB made it to the Global Championship after emerging victorious in the PEL 2024 Fall, while ThunderTalk Gaming and Tianba have been selected from the PEL Points.

Kuaishou Gaming and The Chosen (TC) delivered average performances in the PEL this year, ending up fifth and sixth, respectively, in the regional rankings. Rogue Warriors, led by veteran athlete Jimmy, had a strong start to the PEL Fall Finals but completely failed to maintain their consistency in the last two days.

Weibo Gaming, a popular Chinese club, couldn't perform as expected in the fall edition. The squad will endeavor to find their momentum in this Qualifier and secure a spot in the PMGC 2024.

JD Esports, who signed Paraboy earlier this year, faced challenges in the PEL Fall and was unable to qualify for the Grand Finals of the event. Popular clubs Six Two Eight and Four Angry Men also stumbled in both editions of the PEL 2024. Their eyes will now be on the first spot in the upcoming Qualifier.

Nova Esports, two times PMGC winners, has had a below average run so far in 2024. The lineup, under the leadership of Order, will aim to make a much-needed comeback in this event. JTeam, Vision and ShowTime have struggled in previous events this year.
