Stellar Blade gets a 2025 release window for PC
Shift Up has revealed its plans to bring Stellar Blade to PC in 2025 during the company's Q3 2024 earnings report Q&A. The timed PlayStation exclusive by the Korean Studio was one of the biggest games of this year, selling more than one million copies, and the developers are hoping that this number might go up when Stellar Blade arrives on the PC in 2025.
The confirmation for the anticipated PC port came during an investor Q&A session, where the developers revealed their plans to bring the action-adventure title to PC, ending its exclusive status on the PlayStation platform.
Shift Up confirms a Stellar Blade PC release window for 2025
Stellar Blade has been one of the biggest launches of 2024 for Sony's PlayStation, and many people wanted to know if the developers had any plans to release the console exclusive on PC. The developers have been quite hush about the PC port, but finally, we have some confirmation about the game arriving on the platform next year in 2025.
During a Q3 2024 earnings report Q&A session, Shift Up stated the following when an investor asked if the developers had any plans to bring Stellar Blade to the PC platform:
"WE are aiming for a launch in 2025. Considering the recent trends such as Steam’s growing share of the AAA game market and the global success of “Black Myth: Wukong”, we expect to see more success on PC than the console version"
While developers are planning on a 2025 PC release window, Shift Up has yet to confirm a date. As for the PlayStation 5 version, players are eagerly waiting for a NieR Automata Collab DLC on November 20, 2024, that will bring new costumes, a photo mode and more features to the game.
The PC version of the game will likely arrive with all the DLCs, alongside any that may come to the PlayStation version in the near future.
