The Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 update 4.1 patch notes listed a host of gameplay and balancing tweaks and modified the behavior and spawn rates of certain mobs. However, it is important to note that these changes are currently implemented only for the Operations mode.

Here are all the major changes to gameplay and balancing :

AI director and enemy spawns

Extremis enemies’ spawn rates in Minimal, Average, and Substantial difficulties will revert to their pre-Patch 4.0 levels and will be significantly reduced in Ruthless difficulty to strike a perfect balance between difficulty settings and gameplay experience.

Minimal, Average, and Substantial Difficulties:

  • Reduced spawn rate of Extremis enemies to match pre-Patch 4.0 levels.

Ruthless Difficulty:

  • Significantly reduced spawn rate of Extremis enemies.

Changes to Weapons in Operations Mode

Weapons have received a percent damage increase based on which classes have access to which kind of weapon and how the Bolters compete with the other options available to a player.‎

Here are the buffed damage statistics for weapons in Operations mode:

  • Auto Bolt Rifle -> Damage increased by 20%
  • Bolt Rifle -> Damage increased by 10%
  • Heavy Bolt Rifle -> Damage increased by 15%
  • Stalker Bolt Rifle -> Damage increased by 10%
  • Marksman Bolt Carbine -> Damage increased by 10%
  • Instigator Bolt Carbine -> Damage increased by 10%
  • Bolt Sniper Rifle -> Damage increased by 12.5%
  • Bolt Carbine -> Damage increased by 15%
  • Occulus Bolt Carbine -> Damage increased by 15%
  • Heavy Bolter -> Damage increased by 5%

Changes to difficulty

As part of the Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 update 4.1 patch notes, a few changes have been implemented to modify the existing difficulty settings introduced after the 4.0 patch.

Here are the changes implemented to difficulty settings:

  • Ruthless: Player’s Armour is increased by 10%
  • Lethal: Tight Formation system is removed
  • Bots deal 30% more damage to bosses.
  • Shield swap cooldown with another paired Zoanthrope is increased by 10%.

As part of the Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 update 4.1 patch notes, a few persistent bugs and issues were addressed to improve the gameplay experience and offer a smoother way to engage in the game.

The Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 update 4.1 patch notes addressed a bug that caused roll distance to be shorter than previously available. Additionally, an issue with unlocking Lethal difficulty reward decals has also been fixed. The update also introduced crash fixes and general stability improvements to ensure the Marines keep fighting the heretics for the Emperor without any obstacles.
