Chelsea has historically been one of the top teams in the FIFA video game series, but their decline has been evident since EA FC 24. After yet another underwhelming season in real life, the Blues’ players have not been favorably rated in EA FC 25.

That said, one bright spot is Cole Palmer, who has received a significant upgrade to his card following an impressive debut season at Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, Robert Sanchez, the only known Chelsea goalkeeper rating, managed to maintain his rating despite losing his starting spot to Djordje Petrovic last season.

Marc Cucurella, who had a solid 2023/24 domestic season under Mauricio Pochettino, received a notable upgrade, likely due to his exceptional performance for Spain in Euro 2024. Reece James, Chelsea’s joint-highest-rated defender, saw his rating drop by two points after missing much of the previous season.

Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, who both faced criticism last season, have seen mixed results in their ratings. Enzo has been downgraded, while Caicedo has been upgraded, placing both at 82.

Romeo Lavia, despite limited appearances since joining Chelsea last summer, has surprisingly received a rating boost.

The overall ratings for Chelsea FC in EA FC 25 paint a picture of a team in transition. With no players rated above 85, it’s clear that the Blues’ recent struggles have impacted their virtual counterparts.
