Stalker 2: How to repair and upgrade weapons

The recently released FPS title Stalker 2 has a lot of weapons to choose from. You also get the option of repairing and upgrading them. This is an important element as your weapons have a durability meter that indicates their life based on how damaged your weapon or gear is. Once the durability meter runs out, your weapon or gear will be useless.

Let's take a look at how you can repair and upgrade your weapons in Stalker 2.

Upgrading and repairing your weapons in Stalker 2

While multiple technicians in the game will repair or upgrade your weapons and other gear, the first one that you will encounter in the game will be during a side mission called "Stalker Wisdom."

At the Zalissya base, Skif, the protagonist, will meet a technician who will upgrade and repair your weapons. You will find such technicians at every base in Stalker 2.

Once your weapons and gear start depleting you will immediately start spotting issues like jamming in weapons and lower damage protection with helmets and armor. At this point, you can visit the technician to get your weapons repaired — for a price. The lower your durability gauge is, the more you will have to pay. If you want to upgrade a damaged weapon, you must first repair it.

Moving to the upgrades, the game features a variety of upgrades for every weapon and gear. Powering up weapons can increase their effectiveness as well as slow down the durability gauge's depletion rate.

Many attachments can also be used to improve your aim and reduce recoil. Some of the weapon and gear updates need to be done in a specific order only. For example, you cannot upgrade to level 4 armor without paying for the first three upgrades.
