5 tips to master Ranked mode in Deadlock

With the Ranked mode unlocked in Deadlock, players have started grinding to get the ultimate medal Eternus. The title’s Ranked mode offers 11 medals with six subranks to gain based on skills. However, it’s not a piece of cake as you participate solo with random players. Hence, you need to know several factors before jumping into the Ranked mode and achieving the highest medal in the game.

Before delving deeper into the guide, it is important to note that the title allows you to choose from three following schedules:

  • 1-4 pm / 7-10 pm
  • 12-3 pm / 6-9 pm
  • 11 am-2 pm / 5-8 pm

You have only six hours a day to master the Ranked game. Therefore, you are advised to choose your schedule wisely.

1) Know all the Heroes and their playstyle

The first step to mastering the Deadlock Ranked mode is to know all the heroes and their playstyles. The title allows you to choose three heroes to play in Standard mode. Hence, before you dive into the rank, practice well in the standard mode with three heroes. This will give you an overall idea of all their playstyle and abilities which will prove crucial in Ranked mode.


2) Coordinates with teammates

Coordination with teammates is crucial and can lead to a victory when playing solo. It's hard to defeat the mid-boss in this game without proper coordination. The most important thing is to follow your teammates' communication and help them whenever needed. Therefore, ensure to stick with your team and coordinate properly, especially in the mid and late phases of a match.

3) Get as many Souls as possible

Your main priority should be to get as many Souls as possible. In the early phase of a round, you need to maximize your farm and avoid unnecessary deaths. You need to look for Souls to purchase different items from the shop.

Additionally, take advantage of enemies when they are missing from their lanes by damaging the Enemy Guardian or trying to grab additional Souls from nearby jungle.


4) Follow the minimap

Keeping your eyes on the minimap is very important to secure a win. You need to keep your eyes on the minimap to detect enemies and your teammates' locations. Additionally, you can find shops, jungles, and teleporters from the minimap which is crucial to win a fight. Further, you can share and take calls from your teammates and make marks on the minimap to execute strategies.

Playing behind the cover helps you prevent dealing with unnecessary damage. You need to know the right time to engage the enemy to gain a Soul. Moreover, it’s necessary to fall back and buy heal or other items from the shop after killing the enemy creep wave. This will let you stay in a long fight and help you and your teammates in capturing the enemy lane more easily.
