Alan Wake 2 The Lake House's computer password
The content of this DLC pack revolves around solving a mystery that FBI agent Kieran Estevaz earlier hinted at during main game's story. This time around, the character is actually playable and the mystery is available to solve as well. Just minutes after you start the Lake House DLC, you will stumble upon a computer that needs a password to access.
Alan Wake 2 The Lake House provides you with a hint on how to solve the puzzle and get the code. In case you missed it, here's how to go about the process of finding it. First find the security memo on the desk to the left of the monitor screen. The memo contains a written note that mentions that the code comprises of two elements. One set of numbers remains fixed, while the other set of numbers changes daily.
To keep the mystery intact, and the password as secure as it could be, it cannot comprise of the date or even a birth date. Keeping these things in mind, players now need to figure out a set of numbers that are fixed, and one which can vary every day.
Take a look around the room and you will find a few certificates hanging on the wall. One of these mentions that the Lake House's construction was completed on the July 18. This is the first set of numbers—the fixed ones.
Now, take a look at the calendar nearby to get the second set of numbers: one that changes daily. As mentioned in the memo, it can not be the date. So your next clue should be the information about actress Hedy Lamarr written on the page. It mentions that the actress was also an inventor who developed a torpedo guidance system at the age of 38.
Since the date can not be used, the second set of numbers has to be 38. Combining all the numbers, we will get 1807 and 38. Enter the code- 180738 to finally access the computer. Entering the right password will unlock the door opposite to the computer office.
In this room, you will find the security Clearance keycard needed to head down the elevator to proceed further with the story in Alan Wake 2 The Lake House.
