What happens if you work with Piccolo in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

When deciding whether to team up with Piccolo or fight solo in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, don't stress too much, as both options are equally viable, and you can always replay the episode to choose the other option later. However, the real question is whether you want to experience the canon timeline first (where Goku works with Piccolo) or a unique what-if scenario (where Goku fights without Piccolo). Both paths offer different timelines with different events and set pieces.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is a game that lets you experience the nostalgia of Toriyama's original work once again. However, if you are a fan like me who screamed at your television every time the characters made a choice that was, in your opinion, wrong, then Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will let you carve the legendary saga the way you like. In this article, we have shared the outcomes of one of the earliest and most crucial choices presented to you in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.

If you choose to work with Piccolo, the story unfolds much like the anime. You'll enter the "Rematch and Result" episode, where Goku and Piccolo team up to fight Raditz. However, there's a twist. If you can defeat Raditz quickly enough, you'll unlock the "Pushing the Limit" Sparking Episode.

In this alternate timeline, Goku survives the battle with Raditz as there is no Piccolo to hit him with the Special Beam Cannon in an attempt to take down Raditz, leading to significant changes in future events, including how the battles with Nappa and Vegeta play out and even impacting the events on Planet Namek in Chapter 2.

Another choice is "go it alone," which is likely a typo, as "Do it alone" or "Go for it alone" makes more sense. Choosing it brings you to the "Raditz vs. The Turtle School" episode, where you'll be backed up by Krillin instead of Piccolo. Surviving this fight will return you to the original timeline, but if you manage to defeat Raditz quickly, you'll unlock the "Side by Side" Sparking Episode.

In this alternate path, Goku survives the showdown with Raditz, leading to a surprising team-up with Vegeta later in the game, which culminates in both of them fighting Frieza on Planet Namek. This is a dream scenario for all Dragon Ball Z fans.
