Will Dragon Age The Veilguard be available on PlayStation Plus?

BioWare's latest creation, Dragon Age The Veilguard, will be released on October 31, 2024, for the PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X and S platforms. The title will mark the return of the popular franchise for the first time in almost a decade, with the last entry having been 2014's Dragon Age: Inquisition.

With the popularity of the PS Plus subscription service over the past few years, players might wonder if the game will be a part of Sony's headline subscription service. Unfortunately, it won't be. However, the title will be available on an alternative subscription service instead.

Dragon Age The Veilguard will not be available on PlayStation Plus at launch

Though PS Plus brings some Day One releases for PS4 and PS5 owners who are subscribed to the service, Dragon Age The Veilguard will not be included on the list. However, there is no indication that this may be the case forever, as Sony may choose to bring the title over for the Essential tier or feature it in the game catalog in the future.

The game is, however, available at launch without any extra cost exclusively for EA Play Pro subscribers. EA owns BioWare, so featuring it on their popular subscription service is not much of a surprise. However, the game will not be available at launch for standard EA Play subscribers.

Why players should consider playing Dragon Age The Veilguard

The newest entry in the Dragon Age series, the title will be the first game in the franchise since Dragon Age Inquisition released back in November 2014. The game will also act as a fresh starting point for the franchise, meaning there is no compulsion for newer players to have played the older games to understand the story.

The game will take place in the land of Thedas, where players will be greeted with an all-new and revamped character customization system. Additionally, the game is expected to have a wealth of content and is expected to take around 40 hours or longer to complete.
