Will Dragon Age The Veilguard be on Xbox Game Pass?
Dragon Age The Veilguard has been developed by industry icon Bioware and is scheduled to release on October 31, 2024. Bioware is the creator of the incredibly popular Mass Effect and Dragon Age game franchises. Releasing on the PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X and S platforms, The Veilguard will be the fourth major installment in the Dragon Age franchise, and the first major entry since 2014's Dragon Age: Inquisition.
With the popularity of the series, gamers on Microsoft's popular gaming subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, may be wondering if the title will be available on Day 1, free of cost. Unfortunately, the answer to that question is no, though the title will be available on a different subscription service.

Dragon Age The Veilguard will not be available from Day One on Xbox Game Pass
Surprisingly, Bioware's latest game will not be making an appearance on launch day for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. However, this does not mean that the same cannot change in the future, as there are two Dragon Age games presently available on the service — Dragon Age II and Dragon Age Origins.
Though gamers will not be able to play The Veilguard at launch on the service, the title will be available at no additional cost for EA Play Pro subscribers. Since BioWare is owned by EA, this shouldn't come as much of a surprise. However, it should be noted that the title is only available for Pro subscribers of EA Play, and not standard subscribers.
Why to consider Dragon Age The Veilguard
The title will mark the return to the Dragon Age franchise for the first time in almost 10 years, considering the previous release of Dragon Age Inquisition was in November 2014. Additionally, it will be treated as a brand-new starting point for the series, meaning that players won't need to play the older games to understand the story of The Veilguard.
Set in an area called Thedas, the title will grant players a ton of character customization options for their playable character, including the ability to change detailed aspects of their appearance.
