Wuthering Waves 2.0 characters and Phase 1 banner release date
Kuro Games has revealed two new characters for the upcoming Wuthering Waves 2.0 update, namely Roccia and Carlotta. Both are 5-star Resonators and will be available in version 2.0 banners for a limited time. The new update will go live on January 2, 2025, but the developers have yet to confirm the exact banner order.

Wuthering Waves 2.0 characters and Phase I release date revealed
As mentioned, Kuro Games has officially revealed on X that Carlotta and Roccia will be released in the upcoming Wuthering Waves 2.0 update. The new version will go live on January 2, 2025, across all the servers at the same time. Needless to say, the Phase I banners will also be available as soon as version 2.0 is released and it will feature one of the two new Resonators or both.
Unfortunately, Kuro Games has not confirmed whether Carlotta or Roccia will be in the first half. That said, based on the drip marketing order in the past version updates, the former is more likely to debut in the first phase and the latter will likely appear in the second phase. The exact banner duration is also currently unknown but they are likely to be a minimum of three weeks.

More about Carlotta and Roccia
The official X posts about Rinascita and Carlotta strongly suggest that she is a Pistol user and has the Glacio Attribute. Moreover, according to leaks from Tide, it is speculated that the second daughter of the Montelli family is a main DPS unit.
The leaks also suggest that Roccia is likely a Rectifier user and might have the Havoc Attribute, potentially making her only the second 5-star character with this Attribute. However, unlike Carlotta, the gifted comedian from the Fool's Troupe is expected to be a sub-DPS unit. Unfortunately, there is no information on their kits so Rovers may have to wait a little longer for more details.
Tide has a mixed track record, so the leaks are also likely to be credible but readers are still advised to take it with a grain of salt.
