Wuthering Waves 2.0 leaks hint at free Sanhua skin

With just a few weeks remaining before Wuthering Waves 2.0's release, leakers have been dropping plenty of hints disclosing information about the update. Wuthering Waves 2.0 will see the release of the new region of Rinascita, along with new characters, weapons, and even some character skins. While previous leaks had already shared information about new skins for Sanhua and Jinhsi, the latest leaks have now hinted at the Sanhua skin being totally free.

Free Sanhua skin in Wuthering Waves 2.0, as per leaks

Leaker zani oppai has recently provided some information regarding a possible Sanhua skin in Wuthering Waves 2.0. According to the information provided by the leaker, the Sanhua skin will be available for free to all players and will be obtainable from an event.

Players need to have reached a minimum of Union Level 14 to participate in this event. Completing daily missions/invitations every day will reward you with a new Sanhua skin.

If Sanhua and Jinhsi do get new skins in Wuthering Waves 2.0, then these will be the first costume skins to be added to the game. A special in-game definition of a "costume/skin" has thus been added for version 2.0:

Costumes are special items that can change the appearance of a character. Some special costume sets include a special weapon projection, which allows you to change not only the character itself, but also the appearance of the weapon at the same time.

This definition implies that characters who get skins will also get a special weapon projection for their weapons. Weapon projections are a new feature that has only recently been added to Wuthering Waves (in version 1.4).

Additional leaks also support this rumor of weapon projections accompanying character skins. Leaker WuWaLand disclosed an image of Jinhsi's weapon skin (for her signature weapon Ages of Harvest) which will supposedly be released along with Jinhsi's skin in version 2.0. The weapon projection matches Jinhsi's outfit palette and theme.

However, since Sanhua is not a 5-Star character with a designated signature weapon, it is not confirmed if she will also get a weapon projection along with her character skin. Players will have to wait for official announcements from Kuro Games to confirm all the information regarding the possible free Sanhua skin.
