Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 livestream summary: Redeem code, new characters, Bangboo, events and features

The Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 livestream concluded moments ago on October 25, 2024, and it showcased every new feature that will be coming to the game with the upcoming version 1.3. Titled Virtual Revenge, the upcoming update will bring in quite a few new additions that will keep the Proxies engaged in their journey in the New Eridu City.

For those proxies who missed out on the Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 livestream, here is a list of every important detail from the Special Program that you should know about the upcoming update.

New characters

HoYoverse is set to make two big additions to the evergrowing roster of Zenless Zone Zero. Sons of Calydon member, Lighter is finally joining his comrades with the upcoming update.

He will not be alone, however, as Deputy Chief Yanagi of Section 6 will also make her playable debut in version 1.3.

W-Engines

The Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 livestream announced the following W-Engines.

Timeweaver: Yanagi's BiS
Blazing Laurel: Lighter's BiS

New Bangboo

Version 1.3 will also introduce two new Bangboos. Baddieboo can be obtained from the Bangboo channel using Boopons.

While Knightboo will be an exclusive event reward, both Bangboos will be of A-Rank.

Additionally, each Agent will receive their exclusive W-Engine banners alongside them.

New story

Virtual Revenge is the latest chapter to Zenless Zone Zero's story which will give you more insight into the Hollow Special Operations Section 6 faction.

Lighter will also receive his own Agent story during the upcoming update. As announced during the Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 livestream, his story will be titled, The Unsung Champion, which will allow you to know him more.

Events and game modes

Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 livestream also announced a few events that the Proxies can participate in to win various rewards like Polychromes and Dennies.

Both Tsukishiro Yanagi and Lighter will receive exclusive TV programs where you can participate to earn tokens that you can exchange for various rewards.

Simulated Battle Trial will be the flagship event for this version, where you will need to fight your way through enemies in a tower-like game mode. However, the higher you climb, the more challenging the battle will become. Your HP will also not recover till you complete the entire section. Once one of your agents falls in battle, you will be able to replace them from the reserve.

Similar to other versions, there will also be a weekly giveaway where you can gain 10x Encrypted Mastertape by logging in to the game for seven days.

Quality of life updates

The following quality-of-life updates were announced during the Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 livestream.

Option to pin your Favorite Agents and Bangboo.
Proxies can customize what titles, badges, etc they want to showcase to their friends. A new option has been added that allows you to easily toggle on or off your profile showcase.
Weekly challenge has been set to the very left side of the Errands Tab. You will be able to select one challenge from a list according to your own liking.
The Challenge tab has been renamed to Combat. Most of the battle game modes will be accessible via this tab.
The Tactics Tab allows you to review the game's tutorials.
A new Related Agent feature has been added for Expert Challenge, Notorious Hunt, and Routine Cleanup, allowing you to quickly check which of your Agents need what material.
A new quick craft/ dismantle function has been added to the game.
You can now use low-level Drive Disc Master Copies to obtain higher-level ones.
A new sort-by-time feature was added to the Drive Disk menu allowing you to filter easily.

Redemption codes

Similar to every Special Program, the Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 livestream also shared a special redemption code.
