2024 F1 Abu Dhabi GP: Race Predictions

The 2024 F1 Abu Dhabi GP will have an all-McLaren front row with Lando Norris on pole position with Oscar Piastri in P2. In the last race of the season, there is still a lot at stake with the constructors championship up for grabs.

There's a battle going on for P6 in the constructors championship as well, between Haas and Alpine. The American team did get a late blow as Nico Hulkenberg, who qualified in P4, would start the race in P7 due to a 3-place grid penalty.

With that being said, the first row is all McLaren, while the second row has Carlos Sainz in P3 and Max Verstappen in P4. What can we then expect from the 2024 F1 Abu Dhabi GP? Let's take a look.

#1 Lando Norris wins the F1 Abu Dhabi GP

This might be one of the more straightforward picks here. Lando Norris has done a good job this weekend, but what appears to be working even more for him is the synergy he has with the car compared to his teammate. The McLaren driver is pulling most of the gap there.

All things considered, this is a McLaren track by all means, and we're backing Lando Norris to end the season with a win.

#2 Max Verstappen secures a podium

Max Verstappen will be starting the race in P4, and that's definitely a spot from where he can aim to make an impact. The Dutch driver has been decent with the Red Bull, and his ability to start well could help him to make up positions at the beginning of the race. We're backing a podium finish for the Dutch driver as he ends the season on a high.

#3 Nico Hulkenberg fails to help Haas secure P6

Starting in P4 would have probably given Hulkenberg a better chance to secure a P6 finish in the championship for Haas. An unfortunate situation for the team is that the penalty has put him behind Pierre Gasly.

In terms of pace, there wasn't much difference between the two cars, and hence outscoring the French driver by 6 points is probably going to be a bit too much for Hulkenberg.

#4 Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton make it to the top 10.

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton are both starting the F1 Abu Dhabi GP at the back of the grid. The cars are strong enough for a decent result for the respective drivers. With that being said, it would be a surprise if either of them ended up in the top 5 by the end of this race.

#5 The Abu Dhabi GP might be a bit dull at the front.

It's safe to say that the race might be a bit dull at the front. The F1 Abu Dhabi GP often tends to not be as conducive to racing as other tracks. To add to this, the DRS zone has also been reduced by 50m.

At the front, we have the McLarens who appear to be the class of the field this weekend and should pull away from the rest.
