Christian Horner makes his feelings clear about Max Verstappen clinching his 4th consecutive title with Red Bull

Red Bull boss Christian Horner credited Max Verstappen for continuously overdelivering all season and being in a class of his own as he sealed his 4th consecutive title this season. The F1 Las Vegas GP became the stage for the Dutch driver's triumph this season as the driver finished the race ahead of his title rival Lando Norris to win the championship.

At the Las Vegas GP, the conditions were a bit unique. The track was very cold with temperatures dropping to single digits. At the same time, it was very dusty as well with the sand from the desert playing a role, making the track very slippery. Nonetheless, the teams that were able to line things up perfectly ended up getting the job done.

Mercedes was one such team as they dominated this weekend while, at the same time, McLaren struggled with the car. Max Verstappen made the most of it as Lando Norris struggled in the race and finished ahead of his rival to become world champion for the fourth time in a row. Talking to the media, Horner was full of praise for the Dutch, saying,

"He's been in a class of his own this year. He's been absolutely outstanding. He's won eight Grands Prix, more than double anyone else on the grid. He had an incredible start. We had a tough summer but he never lost his focus. He kept overdelivering, kept getting the results and performances."

Further lauding the 27-year-old for his resilience during what has been a mixed season, Horner said:

"He deserves this fourth world championship. It puts him among the elite of the sport. I can't credit him enough for the way he's handled himself this year, the way he's worked with the engineer and team. He's been outstanding."

The race weekend had not begun in the most ideal way as Red Bull's rear wing was not efficient enough on the straights, so much so that Max Verstappen was losing more than half a second to rivals. The team made modifications to the wing that helped make the car better, as Max qualified ahead of Lando for the race.

Max Verstappen was complimented by FOM president Stefano Domenicali

Max Verstappen was also complimented by the FOM president Stefano Domenicali for winning his 4th world title. The Italian termed the Dutch driver a true great of this sport and congratulated him and Red Bull for accomplishing the feat. He said.

“I want to congratulate Max on an incredible season and his fourth world title. He is a true great of this sport and has so much more to look forward to in his impressive career. This season has been thrilling and 2025 looks set to be even closer. Congratulations Max and congratulations to all the team at Red Bull.”

Red Bull has now accomplished the feat of winning four consecutive world titles with both Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel. It will be interesting to see what's in store for the team in 2025.
