"I think you should sit back, relax, and have a few drinks": Instagram sensation joins with Valtteri Bottas in hilarious "What's next?" collaboration
Former Kick Sauber driver Valtteri Bottas was joined by Instagram sensation Cut The Activist for a hilarious "What's Next?" collaboration on Monday, December 16. The Finnish raced for the final time with the Hinwil-based outfit at the end of the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and is currently without a seat for the upcoming season.
There was a possibility that Sauber would retain him but eventually, the team, who will become Audi in 2026, opted for F2 champion Gabriel Bortoleto alongside Nico Hulkenberg for the 2025 season.
In his final few races, the 35-year-old launched the "What's Next?" catchphrase on his social media as he hinted about his future after losing the seat in F1. He even got the phrase tattooed on his thigh.
The Finnish driver has often showcased his fun and lighter side at the Stake F1 team since joining them in 2022. He has been featured in several hilarious commercials for companies like Uber and has also experimented with his style, rocking a mustache and a mullet.
Bottas recently collaborated with Instagram influencer Cut The Activist for the campaign, and in a video shared on the platform, the influencer hilariously said:
"I think you should sit back, relax, and have a few drinks."
It was not the most successful three years at Sauber for Valtteri Bottas given he struggled to extract the maximum results from the car in the past two years and spoke about several deficiencies with the car.
Valtteri Bottas gives his opinion on the issues for the Audi project
Former Kick Sauber driver Valtteri Bottas claimed that in the 2026 engine regulations, Audi would have a "chassis" problem as it would be made in Hinwil.
As per Motorsportweek, the 10-time race winner reflected:
“It’s going to be a big challenge, of course, and they know it. [Audi] know it," Bottas said. "I think they’ve been focusing on the power unit side for a long time, and invested a lot, so they can do a good job, for sure. But all the other teams and engine manufacturers, they’ve been in the sport for a long, long time. But [Audi has] the resources, the potential. My biggest worry is the chassis, it’s not made by Audi, it’s still made by Sauber. So, the chassis side definitely needs it’s an improvement.”
He spoke further about the management changes in the Audi F1 project in the 2024 season and felt that after initial turmoil, the personnel setup was finally stabilizing.
“Lots of people have changed. Lots of people have got sacked, lots of people have joined in different roles, so there’s been lots of rotation, and to find that stability, how the team has been structured, it has taken time. Now it’s finally starting to shape up, but initially it was quite a mess, with people leaving and people joining.”
Valtteri Bottas has been touted to rejoin the Mercedes F1 team as a reserve driver for the 2025 season and possibly target a comeback in the engine regulations with an 11th team joining the grid.
