“I've enjoyed every single moment with him. Even the tough ones”: Carlos Sainz makes blunt admission on his feelings about Ferrari teammate
Ferrari drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc had a fallout on the team radio after the race in Las Vegas. Despite what rumors suggest, Sainz cleared the air on his relationship with Leclerc ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix.
Since the announcement of Lewis Hamilton joining Ferrari in 2025, Sainz's performance has been under the microscope throughout the year, especially against the seven-time champion and his Ferrari teammate Leclerc. Despite the odds, the Spaniard won two races and clinched six podium places throughout the year. However, hard racing with Leclerc in a few races created friction between the teammates.
During the recent race in Las Vegas, Sainz overturned Ferrari's pit strategy, thereby allowing him to undercut Leclerc for a third-place finish. This irked the Monagasque racer, who is currently fighting McLaren's Lando Norris for second place in the Drivers' championship. Leclerc vented his frustration on the team radio after the chequered flag.
However, with the Constructors' championship still in play, both drivers were summoned for a team briefing after the race. With rumors of a rift between the Ferrari duo circulating in the F1 community, Sainz cleared the air by expressing his feelings about Leclerc in a recent media interaction.
"On social media, (what) people believe it's not true and it's all PR... In these four years at Ferrari, I've enjoyed every single moment with him (Leclerc). Even the tough ones," Sainz said, as reported by Autosport.

As of now, Leclerc is sitting in third position, while Sainz is placed fifth in the Drivers' championship. As for Ferrari, it is just 24 points behind the Constructors' championship leader McLaren with two races to go.
"Coming from a team like Ferrari, I'm sure he'll bring a lot to the table" - Alex Albon suggests upcoming teammate Carlos Sainz keep his expectations low before driving for Williams
With the 2024 season ending in a span of two race weekends and an early release approved by Ferrari, Carlos Sainz is set to test William's race car during the filming day planned at Abu Dhabi.
Ahead of his debut with the British team, his upcoming teammate Alex Albon suggested that the Spaniard keep his expectations low during a recent media interaction.
"Truthfully, not too much. I wish I could say more, but I think, obviously, once Abu Dhabi happens, firstly, I'll be very keen to hear his feedback on the car, doing the test, see where his head's at compared to at Ferrari. I think, obviously, he'll have a very fresh mind of driving the Ferrari and then coming into Williams, where are our strengths, where are weaknesses? I think that's honestly one of the things that I'm looking forward to most with Carlos joining," Albon said. (0:23 onwards)
"I've spent now three years at Williams and it's nice to almost have someone a little bit fresher than me. Coming from a team like Ferrari, I'm sure he'll bring a lot to the table," he added.
A video of the interaction was shared on X by a Sainz fan page. Here's a look at the post, captioned:
