Max Verstappen became the 2024 F1 World Champion at the Las Vegas GP. The world champion’s girlfriend Kelly Piquet and his family were present at the next race at the Lusail International Circuit. Piquet shared pictures on Instagram from the weekend including a picture with the Dutchman's family and Christian Horner.
Piquet uploaded a story on Instagram with the caption, “Podium Selfie”. The selfie had Verstappen's mother Sophie Kumpen, sister Victoria Jane Verstappen, Piquet, and Victoria's boyfriend Tom Heuts. The selfie was taken by Horner when everyone gathered for the podium celebrations after the Dutchman's victory.
Piquet also shared pictures uploaded by F1 and Verstappen's official Instagram account. The pictures were of the whole Red Bull team celebrating the win with a pit board that read “Super Max wins”.
The Red Bull driver started the race in P2 after qualifying in pole as he was penalized with a one-place grid drop for driving unnecessarily slow on his out-lap in Q3. The Dutchman had a great start and took the lead into Turn 1. Verstappen controlled the whole race from the lead but was consistently put under pressure by Lando Norris in P2.
The job became a whole lot easier for Verstappen when Norris was penalized for not slowing under the yellow flags. The Brit was given a 10-second stop-go penalty which dropped him to the back of the grid. The Dutchman cruised to victory with no real threat from Charles Leclerc behind him. It's worth noting that it was Verstappen who noticed Norris' default to slow down under the yellow flags and then asked the team to report the same.
Kelly Piquet often visits the track to support Max Verstappen. When the Brazilian model isn't at the track, she uses social media to show support for her boyfriend.

Max Verstappen had the chance to win the 2024 F1 championship at the Las Vegas GP. All he had to do was to finish ahead of Lando Norris. The Dutchman accomplished that by finishing P5, ahead of Norris in P6.
While Piquet didn't attend the Las Vegas GP, she posted a story on Instagram with a photo of Verstappen in the Red Bull car from the Las Vegas GP to celebrate his title win. She captioned the post:
"4 in a row baby @maxverstappen1" followed by four-star emojis signifying the four titles won by Verstappen
