Watch: Franco Colapinto spotted with Argentinian model China Suarez
Williams F1 driver Franco Colapinto was spotted with Argentinian model and actress China Suarez in Madrid ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Colapinto has caught the attention of the F1 paddock ever since he made his debut on the grid during the 2024 Italian GP, where he replaced Logan Sargeant.
The 21-year-old wasted no time impressing the Grove-based outfit along with the other teams with his performances on the track. He has already scored five points in as many races and has consistently challenged his much-established teammate, Alex Albon during the race weekends.
Franco Colapinto has also caught the attention of F1 fans courtesy of a video floating on the X (formerly Twitter), where he can be seen roaming around the Spanish capital with China Suarez. Suarez is a popular actress and model in Argentina, starring in movies like Abzurdah (2015) and El Hilo Rojo (2016), among others.
While the video sparked speculations among their fans about their relationship, neither Franco Colapinto nor China Suarez have publically addressed these rumors so far.
On the racing front, Colapinto, along with his management have been trying their hardest to secure a seat for the 2025 season given the Williams F1 have already settled on Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz.
Williams driver Franco Colapinto comments on his future in F1
Williams F1 driver Franco Colapinto said he wasn't thinking about his future in the sport and left that decision to his management as he wanted to focus on his driving with the Grove-based outfit.
Speaking with F1.com's Lawrence Barretto on November 10, the F1 rookie said:
"I’m not really thinking about my future and what is going to happen next year," Colapinto said. "I trust the people around me. It’s the job of my manager to get me the best seat possible and the best opportunity that is in our range. I really trust them. They have done an amazing job since I started working with them."
"If I’m not in F1 next year, I hope to be making enough impressions to show that I deserve a seat here in the future. That's my goal, to show everyone I deserve my seat in F1 and that I have to be here in the future. That’s been the goal since I started in F1 – and that’s what I’m trying to show race after race," he added.
Franco Colapinto has been rumored to join the Red Bull family for the 2025 season with reports even claiming he might be driving alongside Max Verstappen next year. Some have also speculated a possible move to a VCARB seat alongside Yuki Tsunoda with Liam Lawson moving up to the senior team.
